In many applications, including medical, it is necessary to know with high accuracy the acoustic characteristics of solid materials, such as the speed and absorption of elastic waves. This work is devoted to the experimental determination of the acoustic parameters of the medium using the plane-wave components of the angular spectrum of the ultrasonic beam obtained by acoustic holography. The method was tested in the characterization of solid-state materials. It is shown that the proposed method allows to measure with high accuracy the speed of sound and the absorption coefficient of longitudinal waves in a wide frequency range.
