The paper concerns an approximated approach to sound reflection from curved surfaces, based on their replacement by a set of plane reflectors. The question about precision of such an approximation is still open. The present work proposes a new method to solve this urgent problem. We develop an asymptotically exact solution which corresponds to the Ray theory of sound. Explicit formulas are compared with the Ray Tracing Method (RTM).
