Optical axis twist effect on refractive index

Annotation

A new boundary conditions for decoupling of elliptically polarized eigenmodes in anisotropic optical cavity are proposed. It is shown that the optical axis twist changes the phase shift of the waves, with effective refractive indices difference greater than difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary refractive indices.
