Monte-Carlo simulation of the ROT-effect in fission

Annotation

The paper presents the results of ROT-effect modeling using the Monte-Carlo method and the GEANT4 library [1]. The influence of the experimental setup geometry, target parameters and other factors on the magnitude of the observed asymmetry is investigated. Particular attention is paid to assessing the possibility of measuring the ROT-effect by determining the fission axis using the registration of prompt fission neutrons.
