The optical Tamm states localized at both edges of a one–dimensional photonic crystal encloused by a nanocomposite are investigated. The nanocomposite consists of spherical nanoparticles with a dielectric core and a metal shell, which are dispersed in a transparent matrix. It is shown that the position of the spectral peaks is sensitive to the thickness of the outermost layer of the photonic crystal.
