In this work, a method for extending the dynamic range of optical stations of the TAIGA-HiSCORE array for the detection of Cherenkov light flashes produced by extensive air showers (EAS) is considered. The aim of this study is to improve the accuracy of cosmic-ray spectrum reconstruction at energies above 1017 eV by increasing the linearity of photomultiplier signals. The approach is based on attenuating the light flux using diaphragms installed on one of the station photomultipliers. The first results of the data analysis are presented.
