Annotation
The paper deals with the effect of the degeneration of asymmetric hybrid waves in a circular periodic waveguide near the frequency of $\pi$–type the symmetric mode E$_{01}$. This effect greatly intensifies on competition modes in the Cherenkov electronic devices on overmoded waveguides.
