Soliton dynamicsin amedium with a cascade nonlinearity in the presence of a local modulation nonlinearity coefficient in the form of two parallel defects wasstudied. The conditions under which there may be a regimeof soliton refraction by defects and regimeof soliton trappingby a particular channelwereinvestigated. It was shown that the soliton trapping depends on the soliton parameters (amplitude, the angle of incidence on defect), and the parameters of defects (nonlinearity coefficient of the modulation depth, shape)
